You will find the Kelantanese classics — nasi kerabu, ayam percik, nasi tumpang, murtabak, grilled fish and skewers — alongside an endless run of kuih, fritters, cut fruit, fresh drinks like air bandung and sugarcane juice, and special sweets that appear only at this time of year. Vendors call out their specialties, the smoke of a hundred grills drifts over the crowd, and everyone is buying for the same shared moment a few hours away.
There is an unmistakable warmth to the season here. The bazaar is not only commerce but community, and visitors are welcome to browse and buy. As a courtesy, remember that those around you are fasting until sunset; many people wait to eat until they get home for the maghrib call.
